All household garbage must be placed in a Green Beaver Island Garbage Bag
Garbage NOT placed in Green Bags, a surcharge of up to $7 applies
Inside the center you will find bins for green bags and for various recyclables clearly marked
The procedure to use the center is to drive into the building slowly, turn right, park your vehicle, and place your green bags and recyclables into the appropriate bins.
Procedures for getting out of your vehicle
- Shoes must be worn when out of your vehicle
- Face masks must be worn at all times
- Please for their safety ,no children under 8 out of your car.
If you need help someone will assist you but you are asked to put your own garbage into the bins if possible.
We are open 6 days every week all year round. If you are leaving the island there are bins for green bags only outside of the building. After hours there is no place for recycling.

We do handle construction and demolition debris. Please visit our Prices page for pricing and what we will take.
There are special collections several times per year. Dates will be posted on the website or please call the Transfer Station for special collection dates: 448-2228
We do not accept vehicles. We will take automotive batteries and tires.There are periodically programs to remove vehicles from the island.
